SHOW JUMPING DEVELOPMENT LEAGUE MAY 12th – JUNE 9th – AUGUST 4th LEAGUE FINAL -- SEPT 1st Con Brio Farm is proud to present a development series designed specifically to give the London and surrounding community the opportunity to develop themselves and their horses in an absolute top quality environment without the added pressure, cost, and time required to compete in Toronto or the United States. The Show Jumping Development League is based upon the European system of “club” shows. Members will be able to compete and train at any of our 3 dates with the goal of collecting a total of 5 clear rounds to qualify for one of three, $1000 championship classes to be held on Sept. 1st. Since we believe that quality riders and horses reflect quality teaching, the trainer with the most horses (with either themselves or their students in the irons) which qualified for the League Finals will be rewarded with the $1000 Show Jumping Development trainer’s bonus. Memberships can be purchased on sight at Con Brio Farm at any of our SJDL dates. - After becoming a SJDL member riders will be required to pay NO entry fees for any class including the $1000 League Championships - 2 courses will be set per height starting at 60-80cm and ranging to 1.20m (higher heights may be available upon request). Each height will be open for 2 hours with 15 min breaks for height changes. Please refer to the schedule for heights and times. - Riders may complete the course as many times as they wish during a single day and will incur no additional fees. However, if there are other horses ready to jump, riders will be limited to two consecutive courses. - Horses are NOT limited to 1 rider. - Professionals, juniors, and amateur riders will compete as equals. - Time allowed will NOT be enforced except for League Finals. - In the case of more than 2 refusals or a fall, a rider may attempt to complete the course with the help of a trainer however schooling will be capped at 3 min. At that time the rider will be asked to leave the ring. - Horses will not be ranked at qualifying dates. Only clear rounds will be recorded for championship purposes. - Helmets MUST be warn at ALL times - Dogs MUST be on leashes and cleaned up after - EC equine welfare guidelines will be enforced and abuse allegations will be grounds for automatic elimination from SJDL finals and riders will be excused from the League with no refund. - Horse/rider combinations are only eligible for one final and must have completed a minimum of 1 clear round at the competition height (in addition to 4 clear rounds at any other height) - SMILE J
